A climate zone summarizes areas that, due to a relatively uniform climate, have similarities, for example in relation to vegetation. Meanwhile meteorologists z.T. developed very different climate zone models. The following articles are essentially based on the climate classification by Köppen and Geiger. Nevertheless, a climate model should not be seen as 'given by nature'. Although the classification is based on objective criteria, these have always been put together subjectively. Furthermore, the boundaries between two climate zones, as graphics usually suggest, are not abrupt, but fluid.
